Seveso companies.

Seveso company - HazmatIndustrial safety regulations were passed in the European Community in 1982 called the Seveso Directive which imposed much harsher industrial regulations. In 2012 Seveso-III (Directive 2012/18/EU) was adopted taking into account, amongst others, the changes in the Union legislation on the classification of chemicals and increased rights for citizens to access information about the risks. It replaces the previous Seveso II directive.

There are two categories: Companies which are ‘lower-tier establishments’; means an establishment where dangerous substances are present in quantities equal to or in excess of the quantities listed in Column 2 of Part 1 or in Column 2 of Part 2 of Annex I, but less than the quantities listed in Column 3 of Part 1 or in Column 3 of Part 2 of Annex I, where applicable using the summation rule laid down in note 4 to Annex I and ‘upper-tier establishments’ means an establishment where dangerous substances are present in quantities equal to or in excess of the quantities listed in Column 3 of Part 1 or in Column 3 of Part 2 of Annex I, where applicable using the summation rule laid down in note 4 to Annex I;

Fire safety.
